Having been part of over 400 weddings in the past 10 years, I have seen it all and then some but yet I still get butterflies of excitement each and every time I turn up to a job!
Once a moment is gone, it's lost forever. But don't worry, I have you covered!
“What I like about photographs and films is that they capture a moment that’s gone forever, impossible to reproduce."
Picture it: it’s 30 years from now, and you’re sitting on at the beach with your sweetheart, watching the sun sink gently towards the horizon. You sigh, nostalgia weighing heavily in the evening air, and as you lean into your life partner’s shoulder you say, “remember how good the chicken was at our wedding?” *insert loud scratch noise here*
Well… that was awkward. Truth be told, 30 years from now, you probably won’t give a damn about what you ate that day. And when the nostalgia hits, you won’t reach for the car keys so you can go re-live your wedding dinner at the local restaurant… you’ll reach for the photo album or wedding film. That is where JP Creative steps in. Don't get me wrong, the food you eat at your wedding absolutely is important but it's not what will last beyond the day. The only thing that can do that is Photos and Videos.

Your wedding is about you. Do what you want
A wedding is about you and your partner. Everything else is important, but ancillary. Whilst family and friends may have their input on what your wedding should have, it all comes down to what the two of you want. If you want an up do like Marge Simpson, you rock that hair style. If you want to arrive on the back of a Harley, you rev that engine. If you want to wear your birthday suit, you......hmm actually I think I can get in trouble for photographing those kinds of images so maybe let's skip that idea. But you get what I am saying. Do your wedding the way you visioned, invite the people you want and create the moments you will tell your great grandkids about!
Enjoy your day – your photos and film depend on it
Weddings are stressful, and some couples have planned for their big day their whole lives. But when the day arrives, don’t sweat the details. Things will go wrong – they always do. Your task now is not to stress over the little things, but to enjoy the day as it unfolds.
Be happy. Smile. Slow things down and enjoy all the moments. But mostly, enjoy the company of your new partner. Happiness = radiance = beautiful wedding photos and film.

General/Photography FAQs
What is required at booking?
To secure your booking a $1200 deposit is due to retain the date. This amount is deducted from the final balance and is non-refundable. Once you are ready to book, your client portal will be set up which has all your information including your invoice, payment information, contract, questionnaire and any extra details relevant to your day all on one link that you can access at any time.
How do I pay the outstanding balance?
The deposit is required at the time of booking but after that you are more than welcome to pay it off using a payment schedule or a lump sum at the end. The final balance is to be paid in full no later than 6 weeks before the wedding date.
Do we get all the photos?
Yes, you will receive all the photos I take on your special day. All the images are edited in high resolution with no watermarks.
When will I receive my photos and/or video?
For weddings it takes about 12 weeks for a full days worth of wedding photos to be delivered on an online gallery but you do get 30+ images edited and ready to download within 48 hours of your big day. Perfect to share with family friends who were there or even with those that could not make it. During low peak times such as winter the turn around time is a little quicker.
Do you offer a second photographer/videographer?
My team and I work beautifully together to ensure all aspects of your magical day are captured with you receiving all images and film that both of us take.
Should we chat before booking?
Absolutely, this can be done on the phone or via Zoom. I want you to be 150% happy with who you book for your wedding. Your photographer & videographer spend a lot of time with you so you want to make sure you like their vibe which is why I always recommend a call to all potential clients.
Do you shoot destination weddings?
Absolutely...and it's something I seriously love doing! I have been able to capture Weddings in nearly all states. Only Western Australia left to tick off.
Do you capture LGBTQ+ Weddings?
Being part of the queer community myself it saddens me that in 2026 this question still needs to be answer but yes of coarse I capture LGBTQ+ weddings. Love is love and that's all that matters
Pre Wedding Shoot
I absolutely love having a pre wedding shoot. This doesn't need to be an engagement shoot but can be a way of feeling comfortable with me taking your photos and with you feeling as much yourself as possible in front of the camera. You can even include your fur babies in the shoot as well!
What is a "Hybrid Video"
Annie & Andy already had me booked for 8 hours of photography for their wedding at The Arboretum, Canberra. But wanted something that added an extra aspect of the day that sometimes photos just can’t capture. They knew they didn’t full want videography but just a little overview of the day to look back on, especially something the kids could watch in later years.
That’s where our “Hybrid Video” makes its way in to the scene. A Hybrid video can be added on to any photography package. It entails myself as your photography capturing photos all day but also little snippets of video at the same time that can then later on be made into a 3-4 min video. Don’t get me wrong I love photos but there really are some aspects of the day where video just does a better job of displaying emotion and makes you get all those fuzzy feels just like you did on the day of the wedding!
A Hybrid add on does not include any recording of any audio such as vows and speeches so it’s in no way the same as our cinematic films but it’s something for those that maybe can’t budget videography or that want a little video snippet of the day to watch and share with family & friends.
